E. Carolyn Mehan, age 92, of 1123 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, January 1, 1916 in New Jersey, a daughter of the late Harry Millman and the late Elsie (Wood) Millman. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C Mehan, Sr. in 1997 and a son Robert C Mehan Jr in 1992. She is survived by two sons, J. Kenneth Mehan of Reston, VA, and Ronald G Mehan of Newark, DE; five grandchildren, a great grandson; and a sister, Pearl Schlupp of Cinnaminson, NJ. Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. A viewing was held Wednesday, April 16 from Noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Tri-Valley Public Library, P.O. Box 557, Hegins PA 17938 or to St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 221, Valley View PA 17983.
