Dorothy M. Snell ,age 97, of Valley View, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Providence Place, Pine Grove. She was born on Wednesday, September 15, 1926, in Valley View, PA, a daughter of Harry G. Shade and Maude Ney Shade. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.

She was also a member of Red Hats, Card Club and was active with the Senior Citizens for many years, Dorothy loved to go shopping.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harry G. Shade, mother, Maude Shade, husband, Richard A. Snell, brothers, Clair and Lee Shade. She is survived by two sons, Richard M. (Barbara) Snell, Duane (Jeanette) Snell; two granddaughters, Lisa Snell-Kern, Dr. Kelly Clauss; grandson, Doug Snell; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 10:00 am, with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating.
