Click here to view the Video Tribute for Dorothy Dorothy L. Malick, age 79, of 523 E Maple Street, Hegins, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 in Hegins. She was born on Tuesday, March 6, 1928 in Hegins, a daughter of the late Rufus Kuntz and the late Verna (Artz) Kuntz. She was a 1945 graduate of the former Hegins Township High School. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She was very active in various church functions and groups. She was also a member and Past President of the Pottsville Club, member of the Order of Eastern Star, Ashland Lodge 154, and a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald V. Malick, to whom she was married for 59 years. She is also survived by a daughter, Yvonne M Deiter and her husband, Scott of Clarksville, MD; two sons, Ronald C Malick and his wife, Sydnie of Concord, NC, and Randall T Malick and his wife, Connie of Center Valley, Pa.; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held on Sunday, February 17 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View and on Monday, February 18th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. Order of Eastern Star Services were held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 17 at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial was made in Fountain Community Cemetery, Fountain.
