Dorothy Naomi Hepler, age 82, of the Tremont Health and Rehabiliation Center, Tremont, formerly of 101 W Grand Ave., Tower City, died Friday August 13, 2004, at the center. She was born on November 3, 1921, in Orwin, Pa, a daughter of the late Harry and Ida (Hand) Reinoehl. She retired as a seamstress from the former Pridia Blouse Co. of Reinerton, Pa. She was of the Protestant Faith. She was a member of the Williams Valley Senior Citizens and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was the widow of Leonard W Schaeffer, Sr. and Robert Hepler. Surviving are a son Leonard W Schaeffer, Jr, of Orwin; a daughter Elizabeth A Messner of Annville; a brother Henry Reinoehl of Wiconisco; a sister Margaret Rhoade of Mandata; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three daughters Dorothy Kehler, Jean Marie Schaeffer, and Marie Ann Schaeffer; by a brother Jerry Evans; and by a sister Grace Kasputis. Funeral sevices were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W Main St., Valley View, with Rev. Edward Gobrecht officiating. Burial was made in the Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Orwin, Pa.
