Doris M. Wolfgang, age 87, of 418 W. Center Street, Donaldson, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Wednesday, May 26, 1926, in Donaldson, a daughter of the late Joseph Allar and Minnie Kissinger Allar.

She was a 1943 graduate of the former Tremont High School.

She was an accountant for the former Miller's Plumbing and Heating, Pottsville, prior to her retirement.

She attended the Donaldson United Methodist Church.

She was a volunteer and member of the Evergreen Adult Day Care, Pine Grove, the Tremont Senior Citizens, and the Nutrition Center Exercise Group of Tremont.

Doris was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidery.

Her husband Robert J Wolfgang passed away in 2000.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bruce E Wolfgang; and a brother, Kenneth Allar.

She is survived by two sons, Richard S Wolfgang and his wife Diane of Pine Grove, PA, and Craig S Wolfgang and his wife Margaret of Beaver Brook; a daughter, Cathy J Schell and her husband Bruce of Muir; four grandsons, Christopher Wolfgang of Philadelphia, Benjamin Wolfgang of Ambler, Ryne Wolfgang of Philadelphia, and Cole Neidlinger of Muir; four granddaughters, Jennifer Hill of Ambler, Nicole Wolfgang of Raleigh, NC, Brandi Schell of Tower City, and Callie Schell of Muir; and seven great grandchildren, Kendall Hill, Colin Hill, Jayden Silks, Tommie Lynn Wolfgang, Charles Wolfgang, Abigail Wolfgang, and Hannah Wolfgang.

Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Dr. Ira Lydic officiating.

A viewing was held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial was made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
