Dolores C. Hepler, age 96, of Pitman, passed away Monday, August 4, 2025 at Providence Place, Pottsville.

She was born on Thursday, January 24, 1929, in Pitman, a daughter the late of Grant F Herring and the late Alma J (Zimmerman) Herring.

She attended the former Hegins Twp High School. She was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. Dolores was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman, enjoyed gardening, cooking, making ice cream candy, cream puffs, and spending time with her family.

Her husband, Leon C Hepler passed away in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and by a sister, Geraldine Masser.

Delores is survived by two sons, James L (Rachel) Hepler of Pitman, Thomas G Hepler of San Diego, CA; two grandsons, Jesse J (Jennifer) Hepler of Pitman and Josh L Hepler of Pitman; granddaughter, Sally J (Adam) Shope of Hershey; two great-granddaughters, Hannah R Hepler and Ellie R Hepler; great grandson, Luke J Hepler; a sister,Sandra (Dennis) Rothermel of Allentown; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, Pitman, on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Pitman.
