Dianne G. Wagner, age 56, of 1395 E Main Street, Hegins, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Friday, March 5, 1954, in Pottsville, a daughter of Dr. James S. Shadle, Sr. and Lorraine E. (Deiter) Shadle of Hegins. She was a 1972 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and received her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 1975 from Penn State University. She was a school teacher for the Tri-Valley School District at the Hegins Hubley Elementary School. She and her family also operated TLC Tree Farm LLC of Fountain. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain; where she served on the church council. She was Secretary\Treasurer of the Tri-Valley Education Association and Secretary of the Hegins Valley View Rotary Club. Dianne also volunteered for the Tri-Valley Home Care Association. Surviving in addition to her parents are her husband Russell L. Wagner, to whom she was married for 37 years; three sons Brian R. Wagner and his wife Jessica of Hegins, Jon R. Wagner and his wife Ashley of Hegins, and Andrew M. Wagner of State College; a granddaughter Lauren E. Wagner of Hegins; a grandson Kaden R. Wagner of Hegins; and two brothers James S. Shadle, Jr of New Cumberland, and Daniel M. Shadle of Donaldson. Funeral services were held at Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain, on Friday, September 24, 2010, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View and from 10 to 11 AM on Friday at the church.
