Click here to view the Video Tribute for Dennis. Dennis J Lucas, age 52, of 260 Specktown Road, Lykens, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. He was born on Sunday, November 20, 1960, in Lykens, a son of the late Charles and Grace Fenstermacher Lucas. He was a painter/sandblaster for District Council 21, Painters Local 411 and DM Coating, Harrisburg. He was of the Lutheran Faith. He was preceded in death by two brothers Donald Lucas and Larry Lucas. He is survived by his wife Catherine L.R. (Hoffman) Lucas, to whom he was married for 15 years. He is also survived by two daughters Measha D Lucas and Deedra L. R. Lucas both of Lykens; two sons Dennis J Lucas, Jr of Pottsville and Ryan W Lucas of Lykens; three granddaughters Alexis L.R. Boothe, Devin L Cole, and Abrianna L.R. Wileman all of Lykens; three brothers John Lucas of Lykens, Marlin Lucas of Boiling Springs, and Earl Lucas of Wiconisco; six sisters Gloria Stence of Millersburg, Mildred Harner of Dalmatia, Shirley Sponsler of Millersburg, Grace Hess of Millersburg, Linda Herb of Elizabethville, and Annie Hirsch of Lykens; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.
