Obituary
Denise C Heisler, age 69, of Hegins, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
She was born on Friday, February 22, 1946, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Harry H Hepner and the late Eleanor F Bixler Wetzel.
She was a seamstress in several area garment factories prior to her retirement.
She was of the Lutheran Faith.
Denise enjoyed bingo, crocheting, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving companion of thirty-four years, Larry E Lucas of Hegins; three daughters, Pamela A Wetzel and her husband James of Pitman, Paula J Lucas and her husband Patrick of Middletown, DE, and Penny L Maurer and her husband Dennis of Hegins; a son, Richard A Heisler and his wife Sherry of Valley View; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Eugene H Hepner of Juniata County, Ronald D Hepner of Delaware, and Jeffery L Hepner of Jonesboro, TN; two sisters, Patricia Chamberlain of Orlando, FL, and Charlene A Blair of Jonesboro, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Zion Evangelical Church, Pitman, on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Todd Wolfe officiating.
Visitation was held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday at the church.
Memorial contributions can be made to Zion Evangelical Church, P.O. Box 53, Pitman PA 17964.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, was in charge of arrangements.
