Dawn June Stewart, age 85, of 111 Division Street, Valley View, formerly of Quakertown, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born on Tuesday, June 5, 1923 in Schuylkill Haven, a daughter of the late Ralph C Minnich and the late Maude V (Shuey) Minnich. She was a 1941 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper for several businesses in the Philadelphia and Quakertown area before her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She enjoyed rock collecting, making jewelry, and playing the organ. She is survived by her husband, Charles "Buck" L Stewart, to whom she was married for 52 years. She is also survived by a step son, Charles L Stewart, Jr of Atlanta, Georgia; a nephew, Frank C Stewart of Quakertown; a cousin, Bette E Bowman of Valley View; and various nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating assisted by Rev. Curtis Zemencik. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O.
