David Ellis Wenrich, Sr., age 53, of 230 E Main St, Hegins, died Thursday, July 6th, 2006, as a result of an auto accident in Mt. Carmel Twp, Northumberland Co. He. was born in Lykens, on October 23, 1952, a son of Whalen E and Anna M (Kissinger) Wenrich of Spring Glen. He was a 1970 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School and a 1973 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College. He was employed as a Maintenance Mechanic at the Mt. Carmel CoGen Plant. He was a member of the Weishample Church of God. He was also a member of the Erdman Sportmans Assoc.; a Social Member of the Valley View Fire Co,, American Legion Post 575, and VFW Post 8237, both of Valley View. He is survived by his wife Roxanne M (Becker) Wenrich, to whom he was married for 35 years. Surviving in addition to his wife and his parents are a son David E, Jr. husband of Amanda L. Wenrich, Tower City; two daughters Dawn R Wenrich, Sacramento, Pa. and Amanda J Wenrich, Philadelphia; a grandson David E Wenrich, III, Tower City; two granddaughters Caitlyn A Zerby, Tower City and Annie J Wenrich, Sacramento, Pa.; four brothers Randy E Wenrich, Spring Glen, Richard L Wenrich, Sacramento, Pa., Whalen E Wenrich, Jr., Urban, and Lynn L Wenrich, Valley View; two sisters Lori A Belack, Gratz and Tammy S Wenrich, Gratz. Memorial Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11th, with Rev. John Ashbaugh officiating.
