Darvin P "Check" Headdings, age 74, of 15 South 2nd Street, Apt 411, Lykens, formerly of Klingerstown and Valley View, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at Manor Care, Sunbury. He was born on Tuesday, March 1, 1938, in Klingerstown, a son of the late Paul C and Helen M Wiest Headdings. He was employed as a channel welder at Moen, Pine Grove, prior to his retirement. Check enjoyed hunting and fishing with his long time friend Thomas Stoneroad of Valley View. He loved to go camping with Steve and Carol Miller of Lykens. His wife Phyllis L Scheib Headdings passed away in 2006. He is survived by two sisters Leona Scott of Herndon and Alma Stuppy of Spring Glen; a step brother Larry Stine of Shippensburg; a step sister Patsy Stine of Shippensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at 11:00 am, at Union Cemetery, Gratz, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
