Click here to view the Video Tribute for Colin. Colin E Erdman, age 68, of 2667 W Main Street, Spring Glen, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Thursday, February 3, 1944, in Fountain Springs, a son of Irene M Schwalm Erdman of Valley View and the late Elwood E Erdman. He was a quality control employee for the former Hegins Precision Division of Penn Reel, Hegins, and had worked at Solar Innovations, Pine Grove until his retirement. He served as a communications officer in the US Army in Germany during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Colin enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending sporting events, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A Herb Erdman in 2009. Surviving in addition to his mother are three sons Troy M Erdman and his wife Kimberly of Enola, Brad S Erdman and his wife Kristen of Palmyra, and Jeremy C Erdman and his fiancée Nicole Pinchorski of Valley View; a grandson Jared A Erdman of State College; four granddaughters Paige M Erdman of Enola, Morgan D Erdman of Enola, Alexis F Erdman of Enola, and Kara Ann Erdman of Palmyra; a brother Elwood E Erdman of Hegins; two sisters Alice M Deitrich of Meriden, Conn, and Susan P Runkle of Spring Glen; and several nieces and nephews. As per Colin's request, funeral services were private at the convenience of the family at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. Burial was made in St. Mark's Cemetery, Spring Glen.
