Obituary

Clayton Leon Morgan, age 64, of Valley View, passed away Tuesday, October 24, at the Geisinger Medical Center,Danville. He was born in Valley View on September 22, 1942, a son of the late Roy and Lilly (Shaffer)Morgan. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked as a first aid rescue instructor for the Pennsylvania Department of Mining. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. He was also a member of the Valley View Fire Co., Valley View Gun Club, Valley View V.F.W. and The Hegins Fire Co. He is survived by his wife Linda L.( Lucas ) Morgan, to whom he was married for 41 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son Rodney husband of Melissa Morgan, Scottsdale; two daughters Kim Morgan, Williamstown and Jackie wife of Jamie Miller, Pine Grove;four brothers Ernest Morgan, Valley View, Chester Morgan, Hegins, Richard Morgan, Valley View, and Ronald Morgan, Millersburg; three sisters Buelah Hoy, Sunbury, Marion Matter, Berrysburg, and Alice Erdman Rawleigh, N.C.; he is also survived by six grandchildren. Funeral Service were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa. at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 28th, with Rev. Randy Wehry officiating. A viewing was held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday Oct 28th at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to the Valley View Fire Co., Valley View, Pa. 17983
