Click here to view the Video Tribute for Chester Chester Arthur Otto, age 82, of 55 Orchard Road, Hegins, passed away Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on Wednesday, January 6, 1926 in Hegins Twp, a son of the late Arthur D Otto and the late Bessie J (Bressler) Otto. He was a 1944 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired as a coal miner for Hegins Mining. He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain; where he was very active in many groups and organizations. He was also a member of the Fountainaires Singing Group and the Men in Harmony. He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene J Otto on January 10, 2008. He was also preceded in death by a sister Elsie Otto and two brothers Forest and Kermit Otto. He is survived by two sons Lynn A Otto and his wife, Kim of Tremont and Ricky L Otto and his wife, Robin of Valley View; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services were held at Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain, on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. Burial with Military Honors was made in Fountain Community Cemetery.
