Charmaine L Barnes, age 87, of Hegins, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at her residence.

She was born on Monday, September 17, 1928, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Emory E Lubold and the late Nellie M Sticher Lubold.

She was a 1946 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

She was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

She was a former member of the Hegins Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens.

Her husband Charles G Barnes passed away January 25, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two grandson, Daniel Barnes and Danny Rothermel; five brothers Jacob Dando, Elmer Lubold, Lester Lubold, Leon Lubold, and Filbert Lubold; and four sisters Alma Green, Kathryn Bressler, Pauline Trumbo, and Hilda Lubold.

She is survived by two sons, Charles G Barnes, Jr and his wife Dolores of Barnesville and Michael R Barnes and his wife Claire of Hegins; two grandsons, Jason Barnes and his wife Katie of Allentown and Travis Rothermel and his wife Kimberly of Hegins; four great granddaughters, Arianna Barnes and Gabriella Barnes of Allentown, and Madison Rothermel and Gabrielle Rothermel of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins, on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Michael C Klahr officiating.

Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church.

Burial was private in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
