Charles M Huntzinger, age 70, of Ocala, FL, formerly of Hegins, passed away Friday, August 1, 2014 at the home of his daughter in Harrisburg.
He was born on Monday, January 10, 1944, in Hegins, a son of the late Charles M Huntzinger and the late Alma A Smeltz Huntzinger.
He was a 1961 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
He was a contract truckman for Mayflower Transit Company, KJ Transportation, and Gabler Trucking, and had retired from Tyco.
He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins.
He was also a member of the Falls of Ocala Card Club.
Charlie enjoyed woodworking, camping, and traveling.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were three brothers Wilbur Huntzinger, Elwood Huntzinger, and Maynard Huntzinger
He is survived by his wife Judith A Otto Huntzinger, to whom he was married for 53 years.
He is also survived by two daughters, Beth A Morgan and her husband Mark of Harrisburg, and Renee J Rissinger of Hegins; three granddaughters, Amanda L Morgan, Abbie E Morgan, and Ellen R Morgan; two grandsons, Jacob C Rissinger and Levi J Rissinger; two sisters, Joan Koppenhaver of Winchester, VA, and Deanna Dietz of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the church.
