Carl Curtis Shadle , age 86, of 33 Harvest Lane, Hegins, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. He was born on Friday, June 10, 1927, in Hegins Twp, PA, a son of the late Curtis Issac and Jennie (Miller) Shadle. He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was a Food Inspector for the Pa Department of Agriculture. He was a member of F&AM Valley Lodge 797 Valley View and enjoyed raising various farm animals. He was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin C Shadle,and his sister,Lucinda J Warmkessel. He is survived by three nephews Jeffrey R Warmkessel of Lakewood, NJ, Curtis Shadle of Galeton, and William Shadle of Tennessee; a niece Jennie E Maher of Langhorne; a sister in law Carole Shadle of Elizabethtown; and a brother in law Ray H Warmkessel of Wyomissing. Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Saturday, August 10, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Michael C Klahr officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be made in Fountain Community Cemetery.
