Carl C. "Loo" Specht, age 65, of Hegins, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence.
He was born on Tuesday, March 22, 1955, in Ashland, a son of the late Franklin D Specht and the late Edna M (Moser) Specht.
He was a 1973 graduate of Tri-Valley High School.
Loo was a self employed coal miner and than had worked at the Mt Carmel CoGen Plant until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Congregational Church, Pitman.
He was also a member of FandAM Valley Lodge 797, Valley View.
Loo was an avid hunter and enjoyed sporting clays and shooting trap.
He is survived by his wife Julie L (Harner) Specht, to whom he was married for 42 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Matthew C Specht and his companion Geri Meyers of Hegins, and Timothy J Specht and his wife Valerie of Klingerstown; two granddaughters, Emma Specht and Leah Specht; a brother, David Specht and his wife Debra of Pitman; a sister, Patty Feger and her husband Dennis of Pitman; a nephew, Shawn Feger of Pitman; and an uncle, Richard Moser of Girardville.
Due to the current COVID-19 health concerns, services will be private.
Burial will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
