Obituary

Boyd Milton Hepler, age 94, of 1062 Ridge Road, Klingerstown, formerly of Valley View, died Sunday, July 24th, 2005 at the Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman. He was born in Trevorton, Pa. on January 7, 1911, a son of the late Harry M and Hattie (Hoffman) Hepler. He was a retired farmer and bus driver. He was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church Spring Glen, where he was former President of the Administrative Board and a former Treasurer and Trustee. He was a member of the Tri Valley, Pitman and the Gratz Senior Citizens, Loyal Order of Moose 1603 Tower City, Gratz Historical Society, Valley View and Hegins Fire Companies, Cressona Fraternal Order of Police, Woodman Lodge of Pitman, and the Weishample Grange. His first wife Dorothy E (Miller) Hepler died in 1992 Surviving are his wife Marie D. (Miller) Neugard Hepler. Surviving in addition to his wife are a step son Larry P husband of Dianne Neugard, Klingerstown; a step daughter Carol M wife of Terry Stehr, Klingerstown; one nephew Larry husband of Maureen Miller, Mandata; 4 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister Mae Miller. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28th, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing were held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial was be made in the United Brethren Cemetery Sacramento, Pa.
