Blanche Anna Morgan, age 88, of 122 Cave Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, at her residence. She was born on Sunday, February 4, 1923, in Barry Twp, a daughter of the late Daniel H Green, Sr and Carrie A (Bolich) Green. She was a 1941 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She taught Sunday School at the former St. John's Lutheran Church and at Barry Salem United Methodist Church. Blanche enjoyed breeding and selling dogs throughout her life. She was recognized regionally and nationally for dog judging. Blanche and her late husband operated the family farm. She was an Avon representative in the Barry Twp area until becoming a teacher's aide at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29, MarLin, where she was employed until her retirement. She was a member of Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample. Her husband, Walter C Morgan passed away in 2003. She was also preceded in death by two brothers Hiram T Green and Daniel H Green, Jr, and a sister Carrie E Green. She is survived by a son Harold D Morgan of Hegins; a daughter Elaine M Cave and her husband John of Hegins; a grandson Adam W Cave of Baltimore, MD; a granddaughter Regina E Neiswender and her husband Andrew of Jonestown; two great grandchildren Benjamin and Madelyn Neiswender; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample, on Monday, January 2, 2012, at 11:00 am, with the Rev. John Wallace officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the church. Burial was made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.
