Betty J Wolfe, age 86, of 701 E Market Street, Gratz, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at her residence. She was born on Saturday, February 13, 1926, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Albert Ebert and Irene Ely Ebert. She was a 1943 graduate of the former HeginsTwp High School. She was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot. Betty enjoyed drawing, painting, and sewing. She was the costume designer and most important fan of the Wolfe Family band. Betty was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and housewife. She was preceded in death by her a son Larry E Wolfe; a daughter Sandra L Wolfe; a great grandson, Anthony J Satterly; and a daughter in law Susanne L Wolfe. She is survived by her husband Robert A Wolfe, to whom she was married for 68 years. She is also survived by two sons Bruce A Wolfe and his wife Ewa of Endwell, NY, Robert A Wolfe of Sayre; daughter June M Willard and her husband Frederick of Gratz; seven grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 10:30 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home and from 9:30 to 10:30 am on Thursday. Burial was made in St. Peter's Cemetery.
