Betty Grace Morgan, age 79, of 570 Broad Street, Hegins, Pa., died unexpectedly Wednesday evening, February 23rd, 2005 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pa.. She was born in Barry Twp.,Schuylkill County, Pa. on May 31, 1925, a daughter of the late Henry and Katie (Facer) Carl. She retired as a seamstress from Katrice Mfg. Co. Williamstown, Pa. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, Pa.. She was a lifetime Member International Ladies Garment Workers Union.. Her husband Charles E. "Shad" Morgan died Nov. 22, 1999. She is survived by two sons Leonard Morgan and Barry Morgan, both of Hegins Pa; a daughter Doris Morgan, Valley View, Pa.; two sisters Gloria Stine, Ashland, Pa., and Beatrice Kukuk, Pitman, Pa.; 8 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Judy in 1943; by a son Elvin D. Morgan in 2004; by four brothers Edward, Percey, Lewis, and Thomas Carl; and by three sisters Mary Klinger, Verna Lucas, and Tillie Sankus. Funeral Services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View, Pa.
