Betty Jean Koppenhaver, age 81, of Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg, formerly of Valley View and Harrisburg died Saturday, October 1st, 2005 at Messiah Village. She was born in Valley View, on November 5, 1923, a daughter of the late Thomas and Carrie (Schwalm) Koppenhaver. She retired as a secretary for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of Administration Harrisburg. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She is survived by a brother Russell Koppenhaver, of Wyomissing, two nieces, a nephew, and several cousins. She is also survived by a family friend Herbert Stoner, of Harrisburg and his children. Graveside services were held at St. Paul's Cemetery, Sacramento, Pa. at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 7th, with Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating.
