Barbara A. Swartzlander, 61, of Tower City, formerly of Good Spring and Valley View passed away Monday, May 11 th at Geisinger Medical Center. Born in Pottsville, November 6, 1947 a daughter of June Miller Boyer, Valley View and the late Ralph Boyer. She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School and McCann School of Business. Barbara was an a accountant with Pavone Advertising, Harrisburg. She was a member of the Joliett United Methodist Church. In addition to her father she was pre-deceased by her husband, Terry R. in 1993 and a brother Richard Boyer. Surviving in additon to her mother are her son, Bryon C. Swartzlander, Tower City; 1 Grandson, whom she dearly loved, Blaize T. Swartzlander. a brother, Carl Boyer, Athens, PA and a sister, Sandy Kiapas, Pottsville. Memorial services were held Friday, May 15th at 4:00 pm from the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
