Barbara Ann Hanna, age 74, of 1531 W Maple Street, Valley View, formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville. She was born on Saturday, October 5, 1935, in Baldwin, NY, a daughter of the late Richard Verity and Emma (Brower) Verity. She was a graduate of Baldwin High School, Baldwin, NY. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, Frackville. She was a former church organist. She had assisted area residents with personal care in the past. Barbara had been very active in her church and was very proud of her family. She was preceded in death by a brother, Benjamin Verity. She is survived by her husband Alfred W Hanna, Sr, to whom she was married for 55 years. She is also survived by two sons Alfred W Hanna Jr. and Richard G Hanna both of Valley View; three daughters Barbara Ann Hoehn of Minersville, Ruth Jane Hoehn of Northumberland, and Christine E Lubinski of Millersburg; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
