Augusta Elfrida Wolfgang, age 64, of 113 Old Mill Road, Hegins, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville. She was born on Friday, October 11, 1946, in Rome, Italy, a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Attilia (Galeazzi) Nappo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She was also a life member of the VFW Post 2385 Ladies Auxiliary, Gratz and a life member of the DAV, Chapter 103, Valley View. Gussie enjoyed traveling, canning, stamp collecting, sewing, needlework, spending time with her family and was a huge lover of animals. She was very proud of becoming an American citizen. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lily M Wolfgang. She is survived by her husband Roland L Wolfgang, Sr, to whom she was married for 38 years. She is also survived by a daughter Mary Sue Ferster and her husband Matthew of RD Lykens; a son Roland L Wolfgang, Jr and his wife Catherine of New Brighton; and a sister Jane of Rome, Italy. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 10:00 am with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Memorial contributions can be made to Hillside SPCA, P.O.
