Arlene M Rhody, age 80, of 1629 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013 at Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Monday, March 6, 1933, in Valley View, a daughter of the late Ira and Mary Williard Morgan. She worked in area garment factories and was last employed by the former Starr Poultry, prior to her retirement. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. She was also a former member of the Tri-Valley Senior Citizens. Arlene enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman R Rhody, Sr, in 2007. She was also preceded in death by two infant children; a sister Beatrice Fesig; two brothers Bryant Morgan and Lee "Short" Morgan; and two infant siblings. She is survived by a son Herman R Rhody, Jr and his fiancee Edna Morgan of Valley View; two daughters Linda M Adams and her husband David of Lykens and Connie D BIxler of Valley View; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Duane Bardo officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View. Condolences can be left for the family at www.buffingtonreed.com .
