Click here to view the Video Tribute for Arlene Arlene Elizabeth Gilbert, age 83, of 1461 W Main Street, Valley View, died Friday, November 3rd, 2006 at York Terrace Nursing Home, Pottsville. She was born in Dornsife, on March 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Arthur and Jennie (Kahler) Carl. She was of the Protestant Faith. Her husband Roland W Gilbert died in 1994. She is survived by four sons Ronald W Gilbert, Valley View, William R husband of Nussra Gilbert, Spring Glen, Kenneth R husband of Rita Gilbert, Philadelphia, and Robert D husband of Karen Gilbert, Myerstown; three daughters Patricia A Bressler, Hershey, Linda K Gilbert, Mechanicsburg, and Ann M wife of Chris Nanke, Plattsmouth, Nebraska; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother Lawrence Carl, Sacramento; and a sister Eleanor Latsha, Manheim. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, Pa. at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 9th, with Rev. William Danis officiating. A viewing was held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
