Arlene C Dinger, age 92, of Hegins, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Harrisburg Hospital.

She was born on Tuesday, September 5, 1922, in Hebe, a daughter of the late Ramsey and Sallie Smeltz Boyer.

She was a seamstress at the former Hegins Mfg Company prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins; where she was a member of WELCA, had taught Sunday School, and was in charge of the Cradle Roll.

She was also a member of the Hegins Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

Arlene was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan.

Her husband Norman J Dinger passed away in 1969. She was also preceded in death by a son Norman E Dinger; by three brothers Ronald Boyer, John Boyer, and Derl Boyer; and by three sisters Mary Schade, Mabel Klinger, and Yvonne Dreibelbis.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna L Savidge and her husband Ronald of Mechanicsburg; a son, Dennis L Dinger and his wife Sandra of Harrisburg; a grandson, Brian Dinger and his wife Melissa of Harrisburg; two granddaughters, Kimberly Klick and her husband Daniel and Christina Dinger both of Harrisburg; two great grandsons, Brandon Dinger and Jackson Klick both of Harrisburg; a great granddaughter Sarah Dinger of Harrisburg; a brother, Elwyn Boyer of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at Friedens Lutheran Church, Hegins, on Friday, October 17, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Warren Egebo officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church.

Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
