Anna Marie Schwartz, 86, of 11 Hillcrest Road, Hegins passed away Monday morning at her home. Born in Neckarseinach, Germany, December 26, 1923 a daughter of the late Daniel and Louise Chelisus Jooss. Anna was a retired floor lady with the former J.E. Morgan Knitting Mills, Valley View. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by a son, Dennis and a great granddaughter Elise Masser. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Irvin E. Schwartz; one son, William E. Schwartz and his wife Deborah, Hegins; three daughters, Gertrude L. Masser and her husband Clarence, Dalmatia; Cynthia A. Reiner and her husband Roy, Camp Hill and Cathi A. Schwartz and her fiance, Tony Stanitis, Hegins. two sisters, Gerdi and Louisa, both of Germany; eight grandchildren, Brian and Jill Schwartz, Christopher and Kyle Masser, Kirsten Reiner, Carissa Summers, Janel Davidson, Travis Stanitis.; ten great grandchildren, Jackie, Hunter, Jacob, William, Paije, Kyleigh, Grace, Ty, Nikolas and Lucy. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 13th at 11:00 am from the Buffington Reed Funeral Home, Valley View with Rev. Claude Schach officiating. A viewing was held from 9-11 am on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Friedens Cemetery, Hegins.
