Click here to view the Video Tribute for Al Alvin H. Stehr, age 85, of 903 W Maple Street Valley View, passed away Thursday, October 18th, 2007 at the Polk Personal Care Center, Millersburg. He was born in Ashland, on September 22, 1922, a son of the late Harry R and Ora E (Snyder) Stehr. He attended the former Ashland High School He served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a co -founder and former partner of Klinger & Stehr, Inc, Valley View. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Valley View, PA 17983. He was also a member of F&AM Valley Lodge 797 Valley View, a life member of VFW Post 8237, Valley View, a member of American Legion Post 575, Valley View, and a member of the Valley View Fire Company. He is survived by his wife Mary E (Klinger) Stehr, to whom he was married for 61 years He is also survived by two sons Terry L and his wife Carol Stehr of Valley View and Craig R and his wife Linda Stehr of Valley View; by a daughter Susan K. and her friend Diane Boyer of Gratz; by two grandsons Timothy L Stehr and his wife Barbara of Ashland and Thomas L Stehr of Valley View; a great grandson Victor V. Stehr; a great granddaughter Cierra Q Stehr; and by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 21st, with Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. A viewing was held on Sunday from 2 to 3p.m. at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View.
