Alice B Klinger, age 88, of Hegins, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Schuylkill Medical Center- E Norwegian, Pottsville.

She was born on Wednesday, October 19, 1927, a daughter of the late Calvin L Bixler and the late Blanche I Specht Bixler.

She was a seamstress for the former Philmark Mfg, Valley View, prior to her retirement. Following her retirement she delivered the Pottsville Republican for ten years.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins.

She was also a member of ILGWU and the Tri-Valley Senior Citizen.

Alice was an avid reader and enjoyed puzzles, card games, and crocheting.

Her husband, Timothy L Klinger, passed away in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by a daughter, Ruth A Murray; a son, Paul L Klinger; by two brothers Calvin Bixler and Earl Bixler; and by a sister, Doris Erdman.

She is survived by six daughters, Linda B Hopkins and her husband Jon of Wickenburg, AZ, Nancy A Carl of Hegins, Marie M Mortensen of Lykens, Trudy L Molnar and her husband Robert of Hegins, Susan K Kramer and her husband Joe of Wiconisco, and Patricia J Williams and her husband David of Hegins; a son, Timothy L Klinger and his wife Molly of Dauphin; twenty-four grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; a brother, Leon Bixler of Exton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating.

A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the church.

Burial was made in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.
