Alberta H. Matter, age 80, of 109 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Monday, October 29th, 2007 at the Hershey Medical Center. She was born in Hubley Twp, on April 22, 1927, a daughter of the late Arthur R and Alvena C (Boyer) Hauck. She was a 1945 graduate of the former Hubley Twp High School. She retired as a Clerk for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue, Harrisburg. Her husband Paul H Matter died in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her companion Bruce L Bixler in 2005. She is survived by a daughter Deborah K and her husband Michael Maugans of Mifflintown; a son Dennis P Matter of Lititz; three granddaughters Colleen M and her husband Cory Snook of Thompsontown, Erin N Maugans of Mifflintown, and Cheryl Anderson; a grandson Michael D and his wife Julie Matter of New Cumberland; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 2nd, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating. Burial was made in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
