Alberta M Blyler, age 92, of 824 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born on Friday, January 23, 1920, in Pitman, a daughter of the late Charles and Edna Kessler Ochs. She and her late husband founded the Blyler Fruit Farm of Gratz in 1940. She was a member of Church of God, Valley View. She was also a member of Pennsylvania State Horticultural Association. Alberta enjoyed scrap booking and needlework. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer C Blyler in 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters Ioma Smeltz and Betty Otto; and by a brother, Alton Ochs. She is survived by a daughter Eleanor M Wolfe of Valley View; two sons Elvin C "Bud" Blyler and his wife Dorothy of Spring Glen and John E Blyler and his wife Diane of Spring Glen; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; two sisters Ludella Tobias of Sinking Spring and Twila Artz of Fountain; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Valley View, on Friday, September 14, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. A viewing was held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church. Burial was made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
