Albert J Schwartz, age 55, of 39 Dell Road, Hegins, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010 at his home. He was born on Saturday, October 1, 1955, in Pottsville, a son of Hattie D (Lucas) Schwartz of Pine Grove and the late Alvin Schwartz, Sr. He was a truck driver for Twin Valley Farmers Exchange, Hegins, until becoming disabled. He was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View. He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Lowthert. He is survived by his wife Donna D (Smith) Schwartz, to whom he was married for 36 years. He is also survived by two sons David L Schwartz and his wife Evelyn and James A Schwartz and his wife Debra all of Valley View; a grandson Nicholas J Schwartz of Valley View; two brothers Joe Schwartz of Delaware and Alvin Schwartz, Jr of Good Spring; three sisters Nancy Bixler of Sacramento, Caroline Hoffman of Tremont, and Anna; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Philip Sabas officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the church. Burial was made in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Valley View.
