Click here to view the Video Tribute for Albert Albert Leroy Schrawder, age 85, of Spring Glen, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Schoolyard Square, Pine Grove. He was born on Thursday, September 13, 1923 in Hegins, a son of the late Elmer E Schrawder and the late Oleda (Scheib) Schrawder. He was a 1942 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. He was a self employed farmer. He had also worked at Midway Supermarket and retired with the Dept of Environmental Resources. He was a member of the Valley View Church of God, where he was a former president of the church council. He was also a former president of the Tri-Valley FFA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marian E (Blyler) Schrawder on Aug 8, 2006 and by a brother William Schrawder. He is survived by two daughters, Beverly E Klinger and her husband Stephen of Valley View and Rachel A Frederick of Allentown; three granddaughters, Danielle E Klinger of Etters, Erika S Klinger of Orange, NJ, and Kennedy S Frederick of Allentown; by a brother, Franklin Schrawder of Manheim; and two nephews Jerry Schrawder and Gene Schrawder both of Lancaster. Services were held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Gerald Frey officiating. A viewing was held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial was made in Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.
