Albert B "Jack" Coleman, age 87, of 2111 E Main Street, Valley View, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at his residence. He was born on Wednesday, July 30, 1924, in Fearnot, a son of the late Tyson and Ida Herb Coleman. He served in the Philippines in the US Army during World War II. He was a self employed coal miner and coal truck driver and had retired from the former Kocher Coal Company. He was a member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Fearnot. Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing. His wife, Ruby I Crabb Coleman, passed away in 2007. He was also preceded in death by four brothers James, Ray, Albanus, and Gilbert Coleman; and by two sisters Ida Moyer and Arlene Wenrich. He is survived by two sons Tyson D Coleman and his wife Kelly of Valley View, and Brent T Coleman and his wife Lisa of Pine Grove; a grandson Drew D Coleman of Hegins; a step brother Ned Coleman of Spring Glen; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, June 18, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. William Danis officiating. Visitation was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors was made in St. Peter's Cemetery, Fearnot.
