Click here to view the Video Tribute for Al Albert A Bader, Sr , age 79, of 708 W Maple Street, Valley View, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 at Schuylkill Medical Center- S. Jackson, Pottsville. He was born on Tuesday, July 7, 1931, in Elizabeth, NJ, a son of the late Albert Alphonse Bader and Helen (Ryan) Bader. He was a 20 year veteran of the US Navy, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He had also been employed as a coremaker at Goulds Pumps, Ashland, before retiring. Al enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was of the Protestant Faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven C Bader, and a great granddaughter. He is survived by his wife Betty L (Hubler) Bader, to whom he was married for 56 years. He is also survived by two sons Albert A Bader, Jr and his wife Bonnie of Winston-Salem, NC and Richard K Bader and his wife Pauline of Easton; two daughters Linda L Huhn and Teresa A Deibert both of Valley View; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a sister Helen DiIorio of Matawan, NJ. Memorial services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, July 16, 2010, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
