Click here to view the Video Tribute for Ada Ada Sarah Schwartz, age 87, of The Friendly Nursing Home, Pitman, formerly of Hegins passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at The Friendly Nursing Home. She was born on August 27, 1921 in Hegins Twp, a daughter of the late Oscar Lucas and the late Mamie (Shadle) Lucas. She was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School. She was a seamstress for the former Hegins Mfg Company; she was also the former owner of Elsie's Restaurant, Hegins. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert R Schwartz in 1988. She is survived by two sons, Ronald L Schwartz, Sr. and his wife, Sally of Calimesa, CA and Gary A Schwartz and his wife, Rose of Hegins; and by three grandsons, Ronald L Schwartz, Jr. of Yucaipa, CA, Adam G Schwartz of Hegins, and Aaron D Schwartz of Hegins. Services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Danis officiating. Burial was made in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.
