M Arlene Lesher, age 93, of Ridge Road, Pitman, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023 at her residence.

She was born on Monday, October 14, 1929, in Hegins, a daughter of the late Valentine E Herner and the late Mabel L (Williams) Herner.

She was a 1947 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

Arlene was a seamstress for Playtimers, Elizabethville, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins.

Arlene was also a member of Woodman of the World, Pitman and the Mahantongo Fire Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her step mother, Verna Herner; and by two brothers, Bruce Herner and Valentine Herner.

She is survived by her husband Paul H Lesher, to whom she was married for 75 years.

She is also survived by two daughters, Judy A Schreffler and her husband Jack of Pitman and Carol L Brosius of Pitman; a son, Paul B Lesher and his wife Beverly of Mt. Airy, MD; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hegins, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Benjamin Scholl and Rev. Daniel Herner officiating.

A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hegins.
