Obituary

Lynn E Wiest, age 77, of Hegins, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on Wednesday, July 21, 1943, in Gratz, a son of the late James L Wiest and the late Kathryn (Hain) Wiest.

Lynn was a 1961 graduate of Upper Dauphin Area High School.

He was a machinist for the former Penn Reel, Hegins and then retired from Hexcel, St. Clair. Lynn was also a school bus driver for Tri-Valley School District.

He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Hegins.

He was also a member of the Hegins Valley Jaycees.

Lynn enjoyed all types of racing, taking trips on his motorcycle, hunting, and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Kenneth Wiest and Gerald Wiest; and a sister, Grovine Straub.

He is survived by his wife Faith R (Borchert) Wiest, to whom he was married for 55 years.

He is also survived by two sons, Timothy A Wiest and his wife Christine of Hegins, and Mark L Wiest and his wife Victoria of Hegins; three granddaughters, Rachel Wiest of Hegins, Kymberlyn Swanger of Summerville, SC, and Lydia Wiest of Hegins; three grandsons, Ryan Wiest, Devin Wiest, and Quinn Wiest all of Hegins two brothers, Donald Wiest of Gratz and Warren Wiest of Florida; a sister, Alma Fetterolf of Leck Kill; ; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to current health concerns, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
