Harold I "Bud" Clouser, age 75, of 819 Deep Creek Road, Ashland, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his residence, after a 16 year courageous battle with progressive supernuclear palsy. He was born on Sunday, February 26, 1939, in Barry Twp. a son of the late Irvin and Martha Kessler Clouser. He was a 1957 graduate of Tri-Valley High School and a graduate of the Quaker City School of Aeronautics, Philadelphia. He served in the US Army in the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. After being discharged from the Army he was an aircraft mechanic at Wings Field, Norristown, he then was the airport manager at the Schuylkill County Airport, and retired as a maintenance employee at the Coal Twp State Correctional Institute. He was a member of Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample. Bud was a commercial pilot, a licensed aviation mechanic, a flight instructor, and an aviation inspector. He was the pilot for former Gov. Casey during his campaign trail. Bud enjoyed flying and inventing things. He is survived by his wife Ruby E Dietrich Clouser, to whom he was married for 51 years. He is also survived by a daughter, Lori A Klinger and her husband Jeffrey of Sacramento; a son, Kevin H Clouser and his wife Cathy of Ashland; two grandsons, Brock M Klinger of Philadelphia and Stone A Clouser of Ashland; three granddaughters, Kera N Klinger of Hegins, Dakota L Davison of Sacramento, and Maiya A Clouser of Ashland; two sisters, Anona Clouser of Ashland and Grace Stutzman and her husband Donald of Hegins; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample, on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 11:00 am, with Rev. John Wallace officiating. A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church. Burial was made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.
