Gladys May Herb, age 74, of 1102 W Walnut Street, Valley View, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, with family by her side, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center, Tremont. She was born on Monday, May 30, 1938, in Upper Paxton Twp, a daughter of the late Russell H and Miriam M Billow Snyder. She was a seamstress in area garment factories prior to her retirement. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View. She was also a member of theWoodman of the World, Pitman and a former member of the Valley View Fire Company Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband Anthony A "Snook" Herb, to whom she was married for 51 years. She is also survived by a daughter Sheila M Klinger and husband Brian of Klingerstown; two granddaughters Trishia N Klinger and Alyssa M Klinger both of Klingerstown; five brothers Donald Snyder of Millersburg, Robert Snyder of Millersburg, Larry Snyder of Kissimmee, FL, Albert Snyder of Millersburg, Russell Snyder of Halifax; two sisters Faye Deibler of Halifax and Wanda Brooks of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Valley View on Friday, November 2, 2012, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Brian Beissel and Rev. Carl Shankweiler officiating. A viewing was held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View and from 10 am to 11 am on Friday at the church. Burial was made in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O.
