Ellen L. Woodring's Obituary
Ellen Louise Woodring, 86, former long time Port Carbon resident, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 at Tremont Health and Rehab.
She was born on September 29, 1936, in Barry Twp, a daughter of Earl Kimmel and Verna Kessler.
Ellen was a 1954 graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Woodring in 2003; brothers, Harold and Bobby; sisters Wilma Klinger, Arlene Herb, and Carolyn Geist.
Ellen is survived by a sister, Sandra Fees of Valley View; and a brother, Leonard Kimmel of Frederick, MD; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday July 20, at 2pm, with Rev. Suzanne Elliot officiating.
A viewing will be held from 1pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
