Earl E Kissinger, Jr., age 75, of Lykens, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at his residence.

He was born on Saturday, December 18, 1948, in Gratz, a son of the late Earl E Kissinger, Sr and the late Margaret C (Laurie) Kissinger.

Earl was a 1966 graduate of Upper Dauphin High School.

He served in the PA National Guard, 131st Transportation Company, Williamstown.

Earl worked at the Hershey Creamery, Harrisburg and then for the US Postal Service, Harrisburg, until his retirement.

Earl was an avid bowler. He was in a bowling league at the former Valley Lanes, Elizabethville, where he bowled three 300 games. Earl was also active in modified pitch and slow pitch softball leagues in Gratz and Joliet. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandson, and his two dogs Boo and Nellie Belle.

His wife Jean A (Harman) Kissinger passed away on June 22, 2024.

He is survived by two sons, Eric E Kissinger and his companion Jeannie Roberts of Shermans Dale and Timothy L Kissinger and his companion Brandy Kissinger of Halifax; six grandchildren; a great grandson; and a brother, Terry L Kissinger of Bethesda, MD.

Services will be held at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View, on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Suzanne Elliott officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the church.

Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc., Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
