Ann Louise Schiliro, age 85, of 105 Division St., Valley View, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Geisinger Saint Luke's Hospital, Orwigsburg, PA . Ann was born on Friday, October 20, 1939, in Valley View, a daughter of the late George L. Fronk and the late M. Jean Laudenslager. She was a graduate of Tri-Valley High School, class of 1957 and a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, Valley View.
Ann had a true entrepreneurial spirit. She ventured into ownership of a weekly magazine, a screen printing business and investment real estate where she had great joy listening to people and trying to help them in any way she could. As a young woman she was a fashion model and worked for the IRS. Ann enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions, collecting art and listening to classical music. She was a lifelong animal lover. She also deeply loved Christmas and the holiday season. But her greatest joy in life was her family for whom she enjoyed cooking traditional Pennsylvania Dutch food, and Italian recipes particularly for her husband.
In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her brother James W. Fronk. She is survived by her devoted husband and soul mate Peter C. Schiliro; sons Timothy W. Klinger and his spouse Philip Costello of New York City, and Jeffrey A. Klinger and his spouse Sandra of Hatfield PA; two grandchildren, Justin Klinger and his spouse Rebecca of Towamencin PA, Katelyn Cinquini and her spouse Chris of Gilbertsville PA, along with five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother John L. Fronk and his spouse Elizabeth of Millersburg PA; two sisters Janice M. Hodge and her spouse Gary of Ephrata PA, and Jean M. Herb and her spouse Jack of Hegins PA; along with several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services for immediate family will take place on December 7th at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Valley View PA. A Celebration of Life for extended family and friends will be announced at a later date, with details regarding the time and location to follow.
