Sharrie Lorraine Crunk, age 78, of Erie, passed away peacefully Friday morning on October 28th, 2022 at the home of her daughter in Palmyra, PA. She was surrounded by her loving family after facing a long battle with cancer. She is finally at peace and healed in the arms of our lord.
Sharrie was born on Saturday, May 13th, 1944, in Westfield, NY, a daughter of the late Harvey Lee Lanphere and Alice Lorriane Lanphere - Manning. She was one of many siblings and went on to enjoy a very happy and loving childhood. She loved reminiscing with her siblings about special memories of the past, and would often share her sweet memories of childhood. She especially shared a special bond with her two sisters, Rita and Lana.
Sharrie eventually settled in Erie, PA with her late Husband, Thomas Jefferson Crunk. Sharrie worked retail for a number of years in Erie, where she made everlasting friendships that lasted a lifetime and beyond. She valued her friendships very much.
Sharrie's favorite passtime was visiting Presque isle. She would often be seen searching the shores for beach glass or watching the sun set over the lake. It was her favorite thing to do with her family and friends and would always be her number one request. We encourage all her loved ones to go there when they want to feel close to sharrie and watch a beautiful sunset in her honor.
Her husband, Thomas J Crunk, passed away in 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by four brothers and a sister and two nephews.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Moyer of Valley View, and Kristina Ciochetto of Palmyra; a son, Donald Corll of Dunkirk, NY; eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Nicole and spouse Joe, Kaylyn and spouse Mike; Alyssa and spouse Alex, Dominic; Jessica, Kelly, Natalie and their families.
Her pride and joy of late came from her sweet great grandchildren who she spent her last years surrounded by: Aubree, Sunny, Allen, and soon to be baby Ayvah Lorraine.
Also surviving her are two brothers, two sisters, numerous Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Nephews who she loved dearly.
