Obituary
Palmer H "Sonny" Reed, Jr. , age 80, of 1782 W Main Street, Valley View, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his home.
He was born on Tuesday, April 30, 1935, in Valley View, PA, a son of the late Palmer H Reed, Sr. and Mildred T (Reed) Reed.
Palmer graduated from the Hegins Township High School in 1953 and served with the US Army from 1958-1964.
He was the former owner of Palmer H Reed Motor Sales, a family owned company that had been in the family for nearly 100 years.
He was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Valley View and various other local organizations.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille K (Kissinger) Reed, who passed away in 2007.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol A Carl and her husband Warren Jr. of Gratz, Sharon L Reed of Hallam; grandson, Shawn M Carl; two granddaughters, Amanda M Carl and Tiffany N Reed; one great-grandson Travis M. Lettich; and two great-granddaughters Kyla N. Fetzer and Magnolia S. Carl; a special friend Helen Schwalm; and two brothers, Bruce Reed and Frederick "Fritz" Reed.
Private Graveside services were held at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Valley View..
