Obituary
Lena J Gober, age 87, of Paradise TX, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at the home of her daughter in Hegins.
She was born on Sunday, April 25, 1937, in Shannon, TX, a daughter of the late William Y Strickland and the late Addie L (Martin) Strickland.
Lena loved good old country music, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by five daughters, Sandra L (Ralph) Lucht of Hegins, Janet F (Charles) Coleman of North Bend, OR, Phyllis A (Daniel) Thomas of Riddle, OR, Brenda K Houchens of Paradise, TX, and Bernice D (Robert) England of Des Moines, IA; two sons, John D Gober, III of Boyd, TX and Roger E Gober of Paradise, TX; twenty grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a sister, Janis S (Frank) Thompson of Oregon; two brothers, Robert L (Caroline) Strickland of Caldwell, TX and Timothy K Strickland of Caldwell, TX; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas.
Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Inc., Valley View, is in charge of arrangements.
